From the boudoir and beyond

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

The beautiful Sarah modeled on Saturday for the bridal shoot at SHIFT / TILT. We had a nice room at the Plaza Hotel booked and I also got to play stylist which is always fun for me. I am especially fond of the shot of her in my fluffy hat!

But my absolute favorite shot of the night was one that I got to direct. It turned out just as creepy as I imagined (which is funny because I am the biggest sissy ever)!

On Sunday, I ended up scratching my cornea on a new contact lens, so it's been resting since this morning when I met up with Romin and Fer for a quick shoot before our Mexican friend got deported. Here is a teaser that he sent before he got shipped off.

More to come as they finish processing, but a lot of pictures were taken this weekend, so who knows when that'll be.

Jitterbugs and butterflies

Got my first roll from my M6 back from the lab today and I am so jazzed! I've already dropped off my second after picking it up and have another maybe five shots left on my current roll. Unfortunately, tomorrow's a holiday in Korea so I have to wait patiently for Tuesday, but I am falling so in love with film and its magic. It's like I have first date butterflies every time I wait for my shots to be processed.

Also, just look at how big Sodapop has grown! See him over there in that picture on the sidebar? That was the day he came home with me. My, has he plumped!

Roamin' the streets with Romin

Saturday, September 17, 2011

The other day, I met up with Romin in Chungmuro. I've been swooning over his Leica M6 since I first saw it, but I always found it intimidating. So, of course, he hands it over for a test drive. He had me play street photographer for an hour and shoot an entire practice roll. I just got the scans back today and I must say, I'm in love.

These photos are straight from the lab without any retouching. Now where can I get my hands on $1,000... This new hobby of mine is getting expensive.
