Gaijin Adventures in Tokyo (Part II)

Here are more pictures from the trip! A few pictures from Yoyogi Koen, Meiji Shrine, and the Maybelline Tokyo Fashion Week closing party at the Mercedes Benz showroom in Roppongi.

Yoyogi Koen...

Meiji Shrine...

Roppongi...

Wish I could've taken more shots at the party, but I was too busy being social. We really had my old neighbor from high school to thank for inviting us. Speaking of which, I have another old high school friend in town and staying with me for the week. Check out her delightful pictures here (I also designed her logo!).

Casey and I returned to Seoul on Wednesday night after an action-packed five day getaway to Japan. As I have quite a bit of work to catch up on and sorting through and editing photos is enough of a feat, I'll be skipping my usual banter.

Shibuya...

Asakusa...

Pack it up, pack it in!

In just a few hours I'll be on my way to meet Casey at the airport for our flight out to Tokyo! We'll be there for five days, traveling on the dime, without much of a plan of action.

I've always been told by my various travel buddies that I am a very light packer, so I decided to photograph all the things that are coming with me.

(In a general counter-clockwise formation) MacBook Air 13" - iPod Nano - Eyeglass/Lens cleaning cloth - 6 rolls of Afga 400 - Nintendo DS Lite - La Sardina - Canon EOS 1V (on trade from Romin) - Camera bag - Glasses - Hat (for warmth and bad hair days) - Clothes (two dresses, some shirts, a skirt, a pair of jeans, and some leggings) - Bras - Rain Poncho - Hoodie - Denim jacket - Pills and vitamins pouch - Makeup pouch - Passport - Underthings (in the baggie) - Cell phone - Wallet - Small towel - Pencil case

It sure sounds like a lot of stuff, but it fits into those two bags there. The pink bag is the size of a large school backpack and the camera bag is the size of a lunchbox. Here it is all packed up with a small bunny for size reference:

(Oh, and that other bunny attached to my bag is actually a small umbrella... it's supposed to be a bit wet while we're there.)

My face. All over the place.

As promised, I am finally getting around to posting the pictures taken by my far more talented friends from the SHIFT/TILT workshop at the beginning of the month. This is going to feel massively narcissistic as they are all photos of me. I really hope you enjoy my face (because if you don't, I'm sorry, this entry will be terrible for you).

The photos in color are by my new Mexican hermano, Fer Juaristi and the black and whites are by Romin, no stranger to Bunnytoothed.

In other exciting news, I will be in Tokyo in a week! My girl, Casey, and I will be melting the faces of the Nihonjin for five days and four nights. I even bought a new camera bag for the occasion, but that should be the last of my expenditures. I'll be living off peanut butter and banana sandwiches* until then.

* It would have been ramen, but... well, y'know.
